Somehow it's already the start of September (where did 2017 go?) and my 18th "Back to school" is fast approaching. A quick update: I will be starting a master's program in Environmental Arts and Humanities at Oregon State University where I hope to use art to effectively communicate science.
That aside, the summer has been eventful but not- things happened but most of the time was slow going. It wasn't until the week of the solar eclipse (I happened to be in line of complete totality) where things all of a sudden occurred: my family came to see the celestial event, we all went to a family wedding in Portland, and then we all flew to the East Coast to visit family. They flew back home while I flew back here to Oregon. I'm still in a limbo state where I know I'm back in Oregon but it hasn't clicked yet. It probably will when I go off to a field course next week where I'll likely realize that it's time to get back in the groove of a school schedule. New routines help solidify thoughts despite all the hustle and bustle.
My next update will probably be next week when I get back from my field course. I'm looking forward to meeting new classmates and starting a new school year. Cheers for the 18th season~
