Hello peoples! I have been traveling safely with Semester at Sea on the gorgeous MV Explorer for 2 weeks now! We've already been to St. Petersburg, Russia and we are currently in Gdansk, Poland where a friend and I are using McDonald's wifi and any other wifi to catch up with the world (though its awfully nice to be unplugged from the social network and such. Odd thing to hear but it's honestly true).
It's been extremely fun and there have been many adventures even though its Only been the second week! Meeting new people (in person too! Imagine that!) Is one of the coolest things And getting to hang out with them is such an experience.
I'm not going to say much more except that my really good friend and I saw the MOON set behind an indistinguishable black sea with the milky way glowing right above us, stars Glittering across the sky like a kindergarten project. That didn't help my conditions seeing that I'm sick (coughing/stuffy nose/sneezing) but it was so worth it. I'd do it again if I could. Luckily (?) We'll be crossing the Atlantic over a span of 14 days so there's definitely a chance that I'd be able to do it again.
Also, itinerary change: we're going to Rome, Italy and Barcelona, Spain in place of Senegal and Ghana due to the Ebola issue. I'm excited though! Alrighty, pictures may or may not be updated soon (don't count on it) but I'll try and update soon. Until then, Au revoir! Maybe see you in Germany!
